Condolence From: Tom & Vicki (Meade) Webster
Condolence: Kyle and Larry visited my husband and me in September of this year. It was great to see them, talk about sweet, funny, and some sad memories, and just catch up. Kyle told us your family got together several times a year at the old home place. That is a great way to let the younger ones know and keep in touch with family and its history.
I have a sweet memory of my Great Aunt Lottie. Well, two memories. First, when I was a small child, we visited your home. Daddy (Al) was going outside with some of you, and it was bitter cold outside. Great Aunt Lottie tied a scarf on his head and the funniest thing is he let her and he wore it! I laughed and laughed. The second story, Daddy took me and my daughter (Andi, who was 13 or 14) to visit your parents. Your Mother insisted on fixing lunch for us. (I know you find that hard to believe!) Even though she had an electric stove, she used her wood stove. My daughter had never seen anyone use a wood stove. She asked Aunt Lottie how she knew which piece of wood to use. Your Mother just smiled, and said years of practice. My daughter still talks about the wood stove. Oh, Yes, and the wonderful meal that was prepared for us.
Tom and I plan to be at Kyle's service tomorrow.
Love,
Tom & Vicki
