Obituary for Maxie Fay Kiser (Dameron)
Maxie Fay Dameron Kiser, 82, of Carbo, Va., went to be with her savior surrounded by her loving family on January 3, 2018, at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
Born on June 17, 1935, in Dickenson County Va., she was the daughter of the late Bryan and Edna Dameron. She was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Jase Kiser; sisters, Beula Dameron, Margaret Tyler, Nell Carlton, and Elsie Hadderers; brothers Jack, Eli, Wade, and Hagen Dameron.
She is survived by her husband and best friend of 63 years, Bobby Joe Kiser; children and their spouses, Matthew and Debbie Kiser, Dennis and Betty Kiser, and Belinda and Ronnie Kiser, all of Lebanon, Va.; her grandchildren and spouses, who were the joy of her life, Joe and Selena Kiser, Scott and Melissa Kiser, Ryan and Susan Kiser, Jordan and Jera Kiser, Linsey and David Pyle, Luke Kiser and Jane Wallace, Heath Kiser and Emily Toohey, and Josh Kiser; great-grandchildren, Katie, Hunter, Tyler, Tanner, Judah, Ava, Olivia, Owen and McKenzie. She is also survived by her sister, Peggy Wood; brother, Junior Dameron and wife Shirley, all of Knoxville, Tenn.; many nieces, nephews and her special niece, Lynn Counts.
Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2018, in the Owens Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Roger Phillips officiating.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Ketron Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Lebanon. Those wishing to go in procession to the cemetery are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m.
