Condolence: Scott and I were lucky enough to sit next to Sandy and "Dancin Granny" one season and in the same area several seasons. She was a joy to be around and her firecracker spirit and big smile was contagious to all fans, especially the children. It was an honor to have known her, if only as Dancin Granny! Our sympathies to you for your family loss.
Condolence: So sorry to hear of the passing of your momma, my Aunt Joyce. I remember being at your house in Tennessee once and her sending us all out to get ice cream - tin roof sundaes - I think we were driving the grown ups to distraction. Prayer for you and your families, and love to you all.
Condolence: I remember Joyce from Cub Creek and other places. Joyce was my mother's (Eileen Berry Ball) sister.I remember the times when we were all togeather on "Cub". I remember riding my bicycle through the front door after our return from Japan. Boy....talk about a wreck. I'll miss her.
Condolence: My husband and I have been hurricanes fans for many years. We so loved to watch the 'dancin granny' perform during so many games! I had the pleasure to meet her and get my picture taken with her during the last year she was a regular at the games. I learned then about her Alzheimer's disease which also afflicted my father. I'm one of many fans who admired her vigor and spirit. May we all be so blessed at her age.
Condolence: "Dancin' Granny" was just a fun happening @ the Canes Games and then I read her story in the paper in 2009. She became one of my Heroes! Someone to look up too! It was a highlight of the Games to see her get up and dance or see her mingling with Her Fans! Also I loved to see Sandy "beam" with pride watching her Mom get all the attention. Sandy's love and care for her Mom was just as inspiring! Thanks for sharing her with all the Caniacs. God Bless you all!
