Obituary for Virginia Lee Fogleman (Carpenter)

Virginia Carpenter Fogleman, 84, of Lebanon, Va., passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018. Born on December 20, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Lindsey and Myrtle Carpenter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Jackson Fogleman Jr. (June); daughter, Judy Kay Fogleman; sisters, Mary Alice Richardson, Lena Carpenter, Dora Boardwine; brother, Bob Carpenter.

She is survived by her son, Ted Fogleman and wife Ruby; daughter, Bonnie Fogleman; three grandchildren, Beth Whitt, Jarrod Steffey and Lindsey Ray (Chris); sister, Betsy Hagy; three great-grandchildren, Jaxon Steffey, Lorelai Ray and Zachary Ray; two step-granddaughters, Penny Sherek and Terry Jewell; several step- grandchildren; special friend, Sadie; and a nephew who was like a brother, Jimmy Carpenter.

A very special thanks to the loving staff of Mountain View ACR for their care.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Russell Memorial Cemetery in Lebanon. Those wishing to go in procession to the cemetery are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:45 a.m.
